From This Web Site
Eyewear Systems sells only to genuine retailers and businesses, and not to individuals.
Our e-commerce Store is designed to allow orders
to be processed quickly. It uses a
shopping cart linked to secure payment facilities. Just click on Store
and
browse through the categories to see the products that we sell. To add a
product to your shopping cart follow these steps:
1) click on the product you want to buy
2) select 'Wholesale' or 'Dropship' from the dropdown list and the appropriate
cost will be displayed next to 'Price'
3) select the colour frame/lens that you want
4) select the quantity that you require
5) click on the 'Add to Cart' button
You can view, update and empty your
Cart at any time.
You can use the address that you registered with, or a different address, and
change the shipping address just for this particular order.
Volume discounts are calculated automatically, and you are offered a
selection of delivery methods, based on the shipping destination and weight of
the order. Depending on the size of your order you may get a discount on
delivery or even free delivery. Once we have received your order
and payment we will process your order immediately.
Don't worry if you get your order wrong or need to change it -
just email us the details and we will change it and re-invoice you.
Customers wishing to place very large orders
should contact us regarding this. We will advise you of the stock
position within one working day.
Payment Methods
Please select your payment method at the Checkout. You can pay by:
Debit/credit card - VISA credit, VISA
debit, Mastercard credit, Maestro debit and Solo debit cards are
processed through the Protx secure payments gateway
Bank transfer - details will be emailed
to you
Cheque (business / personal) - please make payable to 'Eyewear Systems Ltd'
for the invoice total and post to us.
• PayPal or NOCHEX *(these both use secure payments
systems)
* If you pay using NOCHEX a fee is deducted even if a full
refund is made and we will only refund the balance.
Please allow time for cheques (5 working days from receipt) and bank
transfers (2-3 working days) to clear before we dispatch your order.
Order Processing
When you place your order, we first acknowledge
receipt of it by email. When we have received payment (which may be at
the same time as placing the order or later, depending on the payment
method), we pick, pack and dispatch your order. Our e-commerce Store is
linked to our inventory so you should not be able to order products that
are out of stock, however if when we pick your order the product is not
available we will advise you. For wholesale orders we may substitute a
very similar product (up to 10% of your order). We aim to process orders the same working
day for all received by 2pm. Once dispatched we notify you the same
day by email
and include the package tracking reference. Most delays are due to waiting for cheques and bank transfers to clear. This can be ameliorated by using a cheque guarantee card or emailing us a screen shot of the bank transfer. Orders placed on
non-working days will be processed on the next working day.

Dropship Delivery Costs
All of our delivery costs are based on the total weight of the order. We use
the Post Office costs + £1 (the £1 is waived for international orders to help
keep costs down). Some typical costs for single items are
provided below (correct at April 2007):

Please note that if your order exceeds 2kg, then it may appear with a zero
shipping cost. if this happens we will contact you to inform you of the delivery
cost
Shipping Methods
At checkout you will only see shipping methods that are
applicable based on the shipping destination and overall weight of your order.
United Kingdom
1st or 2nd class "Recorded
Signed For" is our standard service. 1st class is available for
order weight up to 2kg, and 2nd class up to 1kg. We keep the receipt as proof of
posting (which is where our liability ends), and the Royal Mail also ask for a
signature on delivery (if you are not in they will hold the package at the local
sorting office for a number of days for you to collect). You are covered for
loss or damage up to £34 per package (not per item), and we will support you
with full documentation should you need to make a claim. For more security you
can use "Special Delivery
Next Day" which guarantees delivery before 1.00pm next day.
Royal Mail
Standard Parcels service. This is a very low-cost service for order
weights between 1kg and 20kg. Packages can
take around 5 days to be delivered, and there is no tracking of your package.
Europe and Worldwide:
We try to keep these costs as low as possible. For UK mail we charge the actual
cost+£1 processing fee (included in the delivery cost that you see). For Airmail
we have reduced the £1 processing charge that is included in the delivery cost
to only 50p, and for International Signed For we have removed it altogether !.
Airmail: aims to deliver to European destinations within three
working days and worldwide within five
Surface Mail: European destinations only - low cost although it takes up to
two weeks
International Signed For: (extra £3.50/€4.90 package):
available for air and surface mail. All mail will be registered (Signed For) at the destination address (please note that the Post Office cannot provide a copy of the signature or say who signed for the item)
On request we can also provide:
AirSure: (£4.20/€5.88 package): the safest, fastest and most reliable service to use. Airsure provides priority handling both in the UK and mainland Europe, with quick despatch on the next available flight to its destination, and electronic tracking
and confirmation of delivery.
With all three methods, you can claim up to £34 compensation. Please
tell us at the time of placing your order if you require a higher level of
insurance and we will provide a cost for this. We purchase postage and arrange
delivery on your behalf, and cannot take responsibility for your order once we
have posted it. If you do need to claim, it will be your responsibility to do so, although we will do our best to help you.
For Signed For and AirSure, for just £1.50/€2.10 you can get further
compensation of up to £500/€700 (depending on which country you are in) in
the unlikely event that your order is lost or damaged en route.
For all destinations, if you prefer an alternative shipping method please advise us at the time of placing your order and we will provide a quotation. You are also welcome to use your own carrier.
There are no delivery options for
my order: We use Royal mail for all of our shipping. They only provide
International delivery for packages up to 2kg, so if your order weighs more than
this you will not see any delivery methods - if this happens please contact us.
Out of Stock, Availability and Back Orders
If a product you wish to purchase shows as out of stock,
please email us or complete the online order form. We can then advise on
availability and any lead times. We receive new stock almost weekly and can
usually get a product within 10 working days.
In theory you should not be able to place an order for a
product that is out of stock, as our e-commerce Store is fully integrated
with our inventory systems. However, there is the very slight
possibility that stock may be damaged or what is inside the box may be
different to what it says on the box etc and this may result in
a stock-out. In such a rare case, we may substitute a different colour or a similar model for up to 10% of the order.
However if you do not like our choice you may return the goods for a full refund or credit against your next order (postage at your cost). If we are unable to fulfil more than 10% of your order or cannot find a close substitute we will contact you to discuss before fulfilling the order.
Discounts on standard
prices and free delivery
We know that customer loyalty isn't won on financial incentives alone – but it's a good starting point !
We try hard to keep our prices very competitive - it's the best way for
us all to succeed. In addition to this we have several ways in which we
offer discounts:
- discounts based on order size: put simply, the larger your
order, the more discount you get - for every £50 spent you get an extra
1% off your order total up to a maximum of 20%. This is applied
automatically at checkout. If you buy in bulk quantities, such as 1000+
pairs of sunglasses or spend more than £5000 per year, we can offer you a
negotiated discount
- discount coupons: we issue these to promote special offers /
end of lines or just because you deserve it - they are published on the site or sent to our top
customers
- mixed dozens: if you buy a mixed box of 12 sunglasses of a
single model we usually give a discount . We guarantee a good mix of
available colours but cannot accept requests for specific colours with
this offer
- free delivery: spend over a certain amount and you will get
free delivery within the UK or discounted delivery to all other
destinations worldwide. Delivery will be by the cheapest method
available such as Standard Parcels, 2nd Class post or Airmail. If you want to upgrade your postage, please contact us and we can arrange for you to pay the difference.
Price Changes
Prices are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected on the site where discovered, and
we reserve the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, including after an order has been submitted. This means that if we get a price wrong, we have the right not to sell you the goods. We will never charge you extra.
Warranty, Loss, Damage & Exchanges
Warranty: Prior to shipping your
order we conduct a quality inspection on all items against defects. All
products sold are warranted to the original purchaser against any defect
in material or workmanship for a period (see below) from the date of
paid invoice by Eyewear Systems Ltd . No warranty
for damage caused during delivery, by alteration, wear, misuse, abuse or accident is
provided. Any product determined by the company to be defective within
the warranty period will be repaired, replaced or a credit issued at our
sole discretion after inspection. See Returns Process below for details.
Loss or Damage During Delivery: The
Royal Mail provides cover for loss or damage up to £32 per package (not
per item) for deliveries in the UK. Please tell us at the time of
placing your order if you require a higher level of insurance and we
will provide a cost for this. Making a claim is your
responsibility as the purchaser and we will not make a claim on your
behalf. We will support you with full proof of
posting and copy invoice should you need to make a claim. You can obtain
a claim form from your local Post Office or from their web site.
Replacement / Exchange / Refund: If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, we offer a no quibble guarantee of
a refund, replacement or exchange. We will deduct the original delivery charge
from any amount refunded. If you pay using NOCHEX a fee is deducted even if
a full refund is made and we will only refund the balance. If you exchange/replace the products we will pay the
new delivery costs. We have the right to refund your money instead of
replacing/exchanging the product. In all cases, you are responsible for returning the products to us safely and for all costs associated with this.

Returns Process: For warranty and satisfaction
guarantee claims the
returns process
must be followed otherwise the claim will be invalidated. A return request
must be made within 4 days from date of invoice paid and the products must be
received within 3 days of the return being authorised (5 days if outside the
UK), giving a minimum total of 7 days. The products must be returned in perfect
condition (unless defective) with the labels and sleeves included.
Please note that as Eyewear Systems trades business-to-business selling and not business-to-consumer we are not governed by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. However we have tried to ensure that our policies follow the spirit of this regulation.
Quality
Our sunglasses are excellent quality relative to the
recommended retail price. They are well-constructed, look good and will enhance
your reputation, whether it be for fashion or sports. You CAN buy
sunglasses cheaper - have a look at the inferior-quality products
offered by some of our competitors - but do you really want to ? If you
are wary try a sample pair.
We purchase stock from quality-focused manufacturers and additionally check each pair of sunglasses as it is packed. However, with the volumes we ship, a few minor defects such as scratches and missing screws will inevitably get through. Please rest assured that if you receive any sunglasses that are not in a satisfactory condition, you will be able to return them for a replacement or refund - see our warranty section below.
All our sunglasses are guaranteed to absorb more than 99% of harmful UVA & UVB rays. They meet ANZI Z80.3 high UV protection standards and have been proven and recommended in accordance with the latest guidelines.
They reduce infrared rays and filter colour while maintaining high levels of visible contrast.
They have passed the FDA requirements for impact resistant lenses. They are lightweight, comfortable, durable and reduce glare. As a result, they are almost unbreakable under normal use.
Many of our sunglasses have optically-decentered
lenses. Click here
to see a picture of the 'UV400 protection' and 'optically correct'
labels. We attach these on dropship orders (as shown) and put them in
the plastic sleeve for wholesale orders.
Polycarbonate Lenses: These are a higher quality material than standard acrylic lenses. They are particularly popular on one-piece and sports styles due to the ability of the material to bend without breaking and to be shatterproof.
Polarised Lenses: Polarised lenses have the benefit of filtering out reflected light and glare off water, pavement and snow. This lens works great for fishing, boating, driving or any other glare intensive activity. Polarised lenses are the best way to eliminate both glare and UV light. Polarisation is achieved by magentically aligning the plastic/polycarbonate fibres in the lens to reduce refraction as light passes through the lens.
Flash Mirror Lens Coating: A special treatment is applied over the base tints to reduce light and glare. Flash mirror gives a slight mirror finish to the lens.
Packaging
All sunglasses are orders packaged in a strong corrugated cardboard
box which is then securely taped with parcel tape. Any pouches are used
to line the box and provide a cushion, otherwise newspaper is used. Our tests and
experience show that standard mail is a safe and secure way to send
goods and this keeps your costs down. We can ship in different
packaging on request, although this may cost more.
I'm a dropshipper - will you have the
products that I sell in stock
When you advertise a product on your web site or on auction site, you want to have
confidence that when it sells you can fulfil the order and not find that the
supplier no longer has the item in stock.
We have a number of resources
that help - from daily stock reports to daily product files.
Ultimately no supplier can guarantee availability of an item - the warehouse
could catch fire or they could go out of business. There are a few simple steps
you can take to manage your customer's expectations: ask them to nominate a
second choice colour or even model; in your terms highlight the possibility of a
stockout and state that in this event, delivery will be delayed for up to two
weeks. For either of these maybe state that you will provide a small discount if
you need to invoke them. Remember that most customers will accept that there can
be problems - as long as you set their expectations up front, communicate
regularly and are open and honest with them, they are likely to become and
remain very loyal !
Samples
We do not provide free samples. However if you are
serious about selling eyewear you can:
- buy a one or more sample pairs using our
dropship pricing
- buy a six pairs of different styles (your choice) wholesale for
around £24 including postage (exact cost depends on models) and use our
exchange facilities
We'll even credit you the difference between the
dropship and wholesale price if you place a wholesale order within 14
days!
Wish Lists
Once you have registered you can easily save details of models
that you are interested in or regularly order in a Wish List, which is accessed
from the box headed 'Your Cart'. The Wish List is saved when you leave the site
so is always available when you next log in. You can add products to it by
clicking on 'Add to Wish List' when viewing the product details, and you can
clear your Wish List at any time.
Request a Brochure
We do not produce a printed brochure in order to keep our operational costs and hence prices as low as possible and also because our styles change regularly.
However we do have a brochure for the Bonehead range that you can
download and print. If you are accepted onto
our retailer programme you are permitted to save images and text from this site solely for the purpose of creating a brochure to promote
Eyewear Systems products to your customers. We provide a zip file
containing product images and they are also available on a CD so you can
view them when you are not connected to the internet. See the
